Halloween 2009 - part 2

Clay, Kate, & Paul

After her first trick or treating, we went home to go trick or treating with Clay, Paul, & Charlotte. She had a great time with the Dowdy's and loved going to many houses with them. Paul was her Gladiator, protector. Unfortunately, I don't have a great picture of Charlotte but she was adorable as the Cat in the Hat. What great friends & neighbors!

Halloween 2009

All the kids getting some energy from pizza & grapes before trick or treating!
Here they all are mostly - Cameron, Sarah Hazel, Kate, Evie, Eli, Michael, Andrew, Maxwell, Elizabeth & Catherine - all ready to go!
Unfortunately, it was a rainy Halloween. But Kate & Evie shared her umbrella a lot.

Kate had a great time trick or treating with some of her friends from church. They all had a great time together and got a LOT of candy. Kate really liked the house that gave full size Hershey bars. That was her favorite.

Picking out a pumpkin

We tried to go to one of the bigger pumpkin patches but it just didn't work out this year. We ended up going down to West Emory Presbyterian Church at the corner of Westland. Kate still had a great time and got to pull her pumpkins around in a little red wagon.

Halloween Party

Kate was very proud of her Halloween door decoration she made at Kitely's Halloween party.
Kate enjoyed eating her cookie that she decorated and her spider she put icing on.
Loryn, Maddie, Kitely, & Kate all together.

Kate had a great time with her friends at Kitely's Halloween party. They did several cute crafts, decorated cookies, & spiders. She enjoyed getting to see everyone. Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treating in our Neighborhood

Clay, Baby Charlotte, Kate, & Paul in our neighborhood after going to some houses.
Ms. Allie & Baby Charlotte -- Charlotte was really enjoying her first candy - a mini tootsie roll sucker in grape.  Yummy!
LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!  Kate and Paul held hands walking through our neighborhood.  It was the sweetest thing -- he told her he would always take care of her.
Kate & Paul trick or treating -- holding hands.....
Clay (a gangster), Paul (a gangster), Baby Charlotte (an adorable cat), & Kate (our ballerina) -- getting ready to walk around our neighborhood to trick or treat.

It worked out that we got home and the Dowdy's hadn't been trick or treating yet.  So, Kate wanted to go around our neighborhood with them.  She had a great time with them.  She held Paul's hand throughout the neighborhood and he always waited on her or tried to help her.  Earlier this week, she asked me if Clay and Paul were her brothers.  She said she thought they were and told me that she loved them.  And she thinks Baby Charlotte is her baby sister also.  The Dowdy's are like family to us all.  We are so thankful to have them as neighbors and friends!!  What a great way to end our Halloween night!!  We had fun with lots of friends!

Trick or Treating with Kitely

Kitely & Kate after getting some candy at a house....yum yum!
Kate, Lexi, & Kitely on their way to trick or treat.  They are all very excited.  Kate, the ballerina, Lexi, the spider princess, and Kitely, Abby Cadabby.

Kate and Kitely ready to go.....they were very excited to go door to door to get candy!  Since Kitely has a new house this year, she wanted Kate to come trick or treat in her neighborhood.  So we went out there to start the evening.  They had a great time together.

Costume Parade at the Goddard School

Kate (a ballerina) & Kitely (Abby Cadabby) waiting to get some Halloween treats from Ms. Becker after their costume parade.
Here is Kate's class outside during the costume parade.  How fun!
Kate was so proud to be the line leader for the costume parade.  Our sweet little ballerina!
At Kate's school, they had a costume parade and then each class got to go trick or treating to the other rooms.  Kate had such a great time.  She loves her school, her friends, and her teachers.  What a great way to start Halloween!

Making a Princess Pumpkin

Daddy & Kate decorated a Mr. Potato Head "Princess" pumpkin this year for Halloween.  The Dowdy's found this princess kit and thought Kate needed to make one for Halloween.  She had a great time putting it together with her Daddy.  She is "Daddy's little pumpkin".
Here is proud Kate with her princess pumpkin!

Harvest Festival at Central Baptist Bearden

Kate & Kitely had a great time together.  They kept calling each other "sissy."  (That's as close as they are going to be to having a sister for now).
Kate & Kitely after crawling thru the caterpillar about a million times!
Kate & Kitely getting ready to slide down together...double trouble!
They had a great time decorating cookies, watching the puppet show, running thru the inflatable caterpillar, jumping in the moon walk and sliding down the slide.  It was a fun afternoon at church!

Freaky Friday

I took Kate to Mayor Bob Leonard park on Friday evening, October 24th for Farragut's Freaky Friday trick or treat night.  It was a rainy day and kind of chilly.  But it stopped raining for a little bit so Kate really wanted to go.  She had a great time walking around the park and getting candy in her ballerina costume.  We had a lot of fun and hopefully next year it won't be raining!!
