Alison & I decided to take the kids to Dollywood.  Dollywood was all decorated for Christmas and had started their Christmas shows.  We rode a bunch of rides and took them to see Babes in Toyland.  It was a chilly day but we all had a great time!  It was a nice change of pace for the day.  One day last week, Kate asked me if Clay & Paul were her brothers.  It was so sweet.  She loves them like brothers and enjoys all the time she gets to spend with the Dowdy's.  We are so lucky to have them as friends and neighbors.  Thanks for a great day!

Disney on Ice

I took Kate to see Disney on Ice with her friend Kitely and her Mom.  We had a great time.  The girls were mesmerized by all the ice skating.  She loved it --- except for the end when they had some fireworks at the finale.  They scared her and she cried.  Otherwise, it was great fun!  The theme was "The Incredibles."  Maybe next time they are in town, they'll have more princesses in the show.  She'd love to see that show.  It was a fun day!

Trick or Treating in our Neighborhood

It worked out that we got home and the Dowdy's hadn't been trick or treating yet.  So, Kate wanted to go around our neighborhood with them.  She had a great time with them.  She held Paul's hand throughout the neighborhood and he always waited on her or tried to help her.  Earlier this week, she asked me if Clay and Paul were her brothers.  She said she thought they were and told me that she loved them.  And she thinks Baby Charlotte is her baby sister also.  The Dowdy's are like family to us all.  We are so thankful to have them as neighbors and friends!!  What a great way to end our Halloween night!!  We had fun with lots of friends!
