Jarett and I weren't sure whether Kate would participate or not for her choir performance at church. It was in the sanctuary and there were a lot of parents & grandparents there to watch. She did a FABULOUS job and participated in all 3 songs. We were so proud of her and so happy we got to see our little girl grow up a little more. What a difference a year makes!!

Kate got a big girl haircut! We decided to cut her hair off to her chin. It's really cute and she LOVES it! She's turning into a big girl!!!

Halloween 2009 - part 2

After her first trick or treating, we went home to go trick or treating with Clay, Paul, & Charlotte. She had a great time with the Dowdy's and loved going to many houses with them. Paul was her Gladiator, protector. Unfortunately, I don't have a great picture of Charlotte but she was adorable as the Cat in the Hat. What great friends & neighbors!

Halloween 2009

Unfortunately, it was a rainy Halloween. But Kate & Evie shared her umbrella a lot.

Kate had a great time trick or treating with some of her friends from church. They all had a great time together and got a LOT of candy. Kate really liked the house that gave full size Hershey bars. That was her favorite.

Paul's 7th birthday party

Paul had his 7th birthday party at Regal Cinemas at the Pinnacle. They went to see "Where the Wild Things Are" and then had pizza and cake. Kate didn't want to go see the movie so we just came for the pizza & cake. She had a great time overall. Although, she was sad that she couldn't get all of Paul's attention. It was very sweet though. She loves Paul and says she is going to marry him one day. We'll see!

We tried to go to one of the bigger pumpkin patches but it just didn't work out this year. We ended up going down to West Emory Presbyterian Church at the corner of Westland. Kate still had a great time and got to pull her pumpkins around in a little red wagon.

Kate had a great time with her friends at Kitely's Halloween party. They did several cute crafts, decorated cookies, & spiders. She enjoyed getting to see everyone. Happy Halloween!

We decided to take Kate to see the Imagination Movers at the Tennessee Theatre last night. Kate had a great time and really enjoyed the show. It was great treat for all 3 of us. We really enjoyed all going together. It was a very interactive show and she really got into it. She was yelling back at them whenever they asked her to say something. It was so cute. And she was so excited to see her friends Maddie & Loryn from her old preschool. It was adorable to watch them run to each other and embrace before the show. Such sweet girls!

Kate's tutu

Kate has been wanting to wear this tutu to church for weeks. I finally gave in and let her wear it to MOPS last Thursday night. She felt like such a princess. She can be such a girlie girl. It was a big treat for her!

Kate is playing Upward Soccer this fall thru our church. She is really enjoying it now that she has figured it out somewhat. The first game was a little rough but she's really enjoying it now. She had several assists last weekend and scored her first goal! We are so proud of her and excited for her! It's a lot of fun for us to watch her play her best and enjoy it so much!

Labor Day - Chick-fil-a Free sandwich day!

We all put on our UK shirts on Labor Day to go eat at Chick-fil-a. They were giving away a free chicken sandwich to everyone wearing their team shirt. Kate was so excited to get a "big girl" chicken sandwich. We had a fun dinner at Chick-fil-a!

Andrew's Birthday party

We went to Andrew's birthday party on Saturday, August 29th. It was originally planned for the splash pad but due to rescheduled soccer games and a rain storm in the afternoon, we all met at Burger King. The kids had a great time and we all enjoyed getting the chance to catch up! This is a picture of Andrew, Elizabeth, Kate, & Evie eating their dinner. Happy 4th birthday, Andrew!

Dinner at Old Bay Steamer -- Shannon, Greg, & Jarett's favorite in Destin!  They ate tons of crab legs & huge shrimp (with their heads still on) - Yuck!  (I don't like seafood).  We had a great time though!
